Here is just a proposal sample itinerary for an all-inclusive program that will take you to the best spots in Torres del Paine in our two suggested world-class accommodations: Lago Grey Hotel and Explora Hotel. Needless to say, you can organize your time and choose your preferred activities at will, always with the expert advice of Lago Grey or Explora staff.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel
You will be picked up from the airport or bus station in Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales and driven to your hotel, on the shores of Lake Grey, with a privileged view of the glacier and the Paine Massif. You will have time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel, such as the spa, the restaurant and the bar. You can also take a walk along the lake or join an optional boat excursion to get closer to the icebergs and the glacier.
Day 2: Lago Grey Trail and Glacier
After breakfast, you will start your hike along the Lago Grey Trail, a scenic path that follows the shore of the lake and offers spectacular views of the mountains and the glacier. You will pass by forests, waterfalls and rocky outcrops until you reach a lookout point where you can admire the impressive ice wall of Grey Glacier. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and then return to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can choose between relaxing at the hotel or joining another optional boat excursion to see more of the glacier.
Day 3: Mirador Las Torres and Lago Nordenskjöld
Today, you will visit one of the most iconic attractions of Torres del Paine: the Mirador Las Torres, a viewpoint that offers a stunning panorama of the three granite towers that give the name to the park. Drive to the trailhead and then hike for about 4 hours through a valley, crossing streams and ascending a moraine until you reach the mirador. Be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the towers and a glacial lake at their base. You will have lunch at the mirador and then descend back to the vehicle. Then drive along Lago Nordenskjöld, another beautiful lake with turquoise waters and views of the Paine Massif. You will stop at some viewpoints along the way and then return to your hotel.
Day 4: Valle del Francés and Lago Pehoé
On this day, you will explore another highlight of Torres del Paine: the Valle del Francés, a glacial valley surrounded by towering peaks and hanging glaciers. Take a catamaran across Lago Pehoé, a stunning lake with emerald waters and views of Los Cuernos, one of the most distinctive formations of the Paine Massif. You will then hike into the valley, passing by forests, rivers and waterfalls until you reach a lookout point where you can see the Francés Glacier and hear its thunderous icefalls. You will have lunch at the lookout point and then return to Lago Pehoé. Take another catamaran back to your vehicle and then drive to your hotel.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel and be transferred to your next destination. You can choose between Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales for your flight or bus connection. You will say goodbye to Torres del Paine with unforgettable memories and photos.
