Day 1 – Calama Airport- San Pedro de Atacama

Private excursion to the Moon Valley (PM) – 5 Hours: Departure at 14:30 hrs.

A few kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama, among the hills of sharp rocks and unusual shapes of the Cordillera de la Sal, is the Valley of the Moon, a true geological spectacle that is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. During the tour you will enjoy the extravagant shapes of the landscape, which will make you feel as if you were walking on the surface of the moon. As the afternoon passes, you will enjoy unbeatable views of the Andes Mountains and its volcanoes. With the arrival of the sunset, golden and red tones will appear over the desert, a truly breathtaking panorama. Simply an unforgettable excursion for every visitor.

Day 2 – San Pedro de Atacama

Private excursion to the Altiplanic Lagoons – 10 Hours: Departure at 08:30. Discover the magical hues of the desert, visiting the small town of Toconao, the great Salar de Atacama with its Chaxan Lagoon and the imposing mountain lakes Miscanti and Miñiques in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. The journey will begin with a visit to Laguna Chaxa, a spectacularly beautiful scenery that is divided into several water mirrors inhabited by a large number of flamingos and other birds. Later we will visit the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons at more than 4,200 meters above sea level, surrounded by imposing volcanoes and habitat of a great variety of birds, they are a truly amazing destination. Finally, the landscape offers impressive views of the Licancabur and Lascar volcanoes.

Day 3 – San Pedro de Atacama

Private excursion to Geiseres del Tatio (AM) – 8 Hours: Enjoy the sunrise at one of the most beautiful geothermal fields in the world. In this vibrant excursion we will visit the impressive fumaroles of Tatio, in the middle of the Altiplano at more than 4,000 meters above sea level. Our trip to the Altiplano begins early in the morning (5:30 hrs), to see the sunrise over one of the most important geothermal fields in the world: the Tatio Geysers. There are more than 70 fumaroles from which steam jets emerge and form pools of boiling water. Its best face is presented early in the day, when beautiful colors are born between the contrast of the intensely blue sky and the pristine steam of the geysers. In the middle of this impressive natural scenery next to the Andes, we will enjoy a refreshing breakfast, which will allow us to warm up the body, since temperatures in this area range from -2º C to 24.5º C. Taking the road back to San Pedro de Atacama, we will observe the beauty of the landscape, its valleys, its native flora and fauna, where the friendly vicuñas and vizcachas stand out. Then we will stop in the town of Machuca, an Atacama village of only twenty adobe, straw and cactus wood houses, where its inhabitants offer Andean handicrafts and typical gastronomy such as llama meat, sopaipillas and empanadas. The stop includes a visit to the beautiful San Santiago Church -patron saint of the town-, and to a small wetland where flamingos, ducks and other birds coexist.

Astronomical Tour – Shared excursion: The Astronomical Tour begins with a brief talk, with the naked eye, with a laser pointer drawing in the sky the different constellations and objects present. Then we will observe, through the telescope, Planets, Nebulae, Open and Closed Clusters, Star Sequences, Galaxies, Super and Hyper Giant Stars (the objects to be observed will depend on the season). Emphasis will be placed on the Greek and Andean cosmovision, explaining their way of interpreting the cosmos. In the place they have a Meade Lightbridge Dobsonian Newtonian Telescope of 16 inches (40cms. the primary mirror) F 4.5 (2mts. high). The tour will end with a group and individual Astrophotography, which are sent virtually. The tour is subject to weather conditions such as clouds or rain and does not operate on full moon days (in case of cancellation, the service can be rescheduled or cancelled).

Day 4 – San Pedro de Atacama- Ojo de Perdiz

Pick up at hotel in San Pedro and transfer to Hito Cajón border with Bolivia. After the immigration procedures, transfer and continue to Laguna Verde, at the foot of the Llicancahur Volcano. Continuation through the Dalí Valley towards the Termas de Polques, the Sol de Mañana Geysers. Visit the Laguna Colorada, the habitat of the famous James flamingos, unique to its species in the world, and to see the change of tones in the Lagoon until it reaches its red colour, from which its name comes. Continue to Ojo de Perdiz visiting the Stone Tree.

Day 5 – Ojo de Perdiz- Colchani (Uyuni Salt Flat)

Breakfast and check out. Transfer to the north, visiting the High-Andean Lagoons (Ramaditas, Chiar Khota, Hedionda, Cañapa). We will pass by the viewpoint of the Ollague Volcano and then by the edge of the Chiguana salt flat. We will enter the Salar de Uyuni from the south. Visit Incahuasi Island, inhabited by giant cacti. Walk to the top, where you will have a 360-degree view of the salt flat. Time to enjoy the place.

At the end of the afternoon, we will go to your hotel (Luna Salada or Palacio de Sal). Box lunch en route and dinner at the hotel included.

Day 6 – Colchani (Uyuni) – Mallcu

Breakfast and check out. We will cross the Great Salt Flat heading north to visit the town of Tahua at the foot of the Tunupa Volcano, with a spectacular view of the salt flat, then the Coquesa mummies. We will cross the salt flat again stopping at the springs to observe how the salt is extracted; once again we will visit Incahuasi Island. In the afternoon we will travel to the town of Villamar, visiting El Valle de Las Rocas – rock formations because of erosion by the winds. Arrival and accommodation at the Mallku Cueva Hotel.

Day 7 – Mallcu- San Pedro de Atacama- Calama Airport

Breakfast and check out. Travel through the Sud Lipez Desert. On the way, we will have time to enjoy a bath in the thermal waters of Polques. After lunch continues to Hito Cajon. After the immigration process, continue to San Pedro de Atacama.
