Embark on a unique journey through the insular Chilean Patagonia with our 5-day, 4-night private navigation tour of Chiloé and its local communities.

This program offers an immersive experience, exploring the pristine landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Chiloé. Navigate through the serene waters, visit traditional fishing villages, and engage with the local communities to learn about their ancestral customs and way of life.

From the stunning natural beauty to the vibrant local culture, this tour provides an unforgettable adventure in one of Chile’s most enchanting regions.

Day 1 – Arrival to Chiloé and transfer to pier

Arrive in Puerto Montt or Castro and transfer to the Pier in Quinchao, located south of Castro. Welcome by the staff, briefing of the expedition and check-in. Meals included: dinner.

Day 2 – Quinchao Pier – Quehui and Chelin Islands

Arrive at Mocopulli Airport in Castro and transfer to the Pier in Quinchao, located south of Castro. Welcome by the staff, check in and begin navigation of 25 miles approx (4 hours) by Lemuy channel toward the islands of Quehui and Chelin. Here we will be able to do different activities with the community such as local gastronomy, traditional boatyard carpentry, cultural immersion in the Chona culture (mummies and cemetery), trekking, and kayaking. Accommodation on board. Meals included: Lunch and dinner.

Day 3 – Quehui – Mechuque Island

At a time to be agreed upon, the beginning of navigation of approximately 4 hours between Quehui and Mechuque Island located in the beautiful Butachauques Archipelago. Inland, we will be able to visit the local museum of Don Paulino, the coast and its “palafitos”, the cemetery, and also visit the dock and the hills to have a great view. Accommodation on board. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner.

Day 4 – Mechuque – Quemchi Island

At a time to be agreed, beginning navigation of approx 3 hours toward the zone of Quemchi, specifically on the island of Caucahue. Here we will have 2 alternatives; first, visit Queler in Caucahue Island and discover the island, the local gastronomy, and listen to the stories of the people. The second alternative is to go to Estero Bonito and overnight in a typical Chilote house (this alternative has an additional cost). Accommodations to choose from. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner.

Día 5 – Quemchi – Linao – Castro o Puerto Montt o Puerto Varas

At a time to be agreed, begin of brief navigation (2 hours approx) toward the beautiful bay of Linao, one of the most beautiful in Chiloé located in the north of the island. Here we will be able to watch the fauna, visit a local milk fabric, and participate in the activities there. Then, at a time to be agreed (after lunch), transfer to Castro or Puerto Montt, or Puerto Varas. Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch (box lunch).

Private transfer Castro – Quinchao Pier.
4 nights onboard the vessel considering the distribution of each one with the captain on board. Optionally with an extra cost, the last night can be at Estero Bonito in a typical local cabin.
Full board considering water, soft drinks, beers and wines.
Excursions and activities from the itinerary.
Private transfer Linao pier – Castro or Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas.
NOT INCLUDED: insurances of any kind, alcoholic spirits, extra expenses, personal expenses and anything not mentioned as included.

Payment and Cancelation Policies:

A deposit will be required to confirm the services. The balance of payment date can vary between 75 and 30 days before the arrival (depending on the supplier’s conditions of each program).
Cancelations policies will be confirmed at the moment of quoting the tour.

In case of payment with a credit card issued outside Chile, applies an extra 3.9% over the total amount.
