4 days and 3 nights

The central zone of Chile is spectacular. The activities are many and can be discovered in Santiago, Valparaíso or the wine valleys. This 3 nights program gives you a general view of the central zone for those who want to connect then, to other destinations.

Day 1 – Santiago Airport – Hotel – Walking City Tour

Arrive at Santiago Airport, welcome and transfer to your hotel (check-in at 15:00). In the afternoon we will have a short walking tour in the city centre visiting the most important icons of Santiago. The tour begins at your hotel visiting the most interesting spots of old Santiago with extensions to places that the customer would like to visit. We invite you to discover Santiago, a cosmopolitan city which has become one of South America’s most modern hubs. Described by the international media as a surprising destination, Santiago stands out for being a cosmopolitan and modern city that perfectly combines its traditions with a modern outlook. The tour is absolutely flexible but will take you to visit the heart of the city and its emblematic sites such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santiago’s Central Postal Office and its Municipality. We will also visit the Moneda Palace, which is the government’s headquarters as well as the traditional neighbourhoods of the historic city centre.

Day 2 – Valparaiso and Viña del Mar

Breakfast. At 8:30 aprox pick up for a full day excursion to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar.

Valparaíso is one of the main ports of Chile proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. We will walk through its beautiful streets and contemplate from its balconies the wonderful bay and hills full of colours, which have inspired famous painters, architects, draftsmen, musicians and poets. Optionally you can visit the Pablo Neruda House Museum La Sebastiana (extra cost). We will visit the Sotomayor Square, meet the monument to Iquique Heroes and visit the port, where you can optionally navigate the bay. Then continue to Viña del Mar, also known as “Ciudad Jardín” (Garden City) stands out for the beauty of its palaces, the famous flower clock and its extensive coast with 8 kilometres of beaches, walks and rockeries.

Day 3 – Maipo Valley Wine Tour

Breakfast. At 9:00 approx, pick for an excursion to Maipo Valley. The oldest wine valley in Chile and the closest to Santiago, the Maipo Valley blends sun, wind and winter rains to create Mediterranean climate conditions that make it perfect for producing Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Located less than an hour’s drive from Santiago, the valley is famous for its well-balanced red wines. The salts carried in the water of the River Maipo irrigate the fields, creating a unique balance between flavour and acidity in the resulting wines. The Maipo Valley can be visited all year round. We will visit Viña Las Araucarias, a boutique winery.

Patricio Ulloa, creator of Viña Las Araucarias, will take you on a tour of our organic vineyard, harvest patio, the cellar, the barrel room and bottle room. Where you will be able to taste wines in different fermentation processes, by ending with a tasting of 3 organic wines: Organic Cabernet Sauvignon, Organic Merlot, Organic Blend; Gran Reserva Las Araucarias, Carmenere, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah 2015.

This tour will be a conversation with Patricio where he will speak about his experiences concerning the production of wine, the reasons why he decided on organic and ecological production, demolishing myths about Chilean wine and showing the passion and work he has put into his organic vineyard.
