Day 1: Santiago & Valparaíso

Private transfer from Santiago/Santiago Airport to Valparaiso/Viña del Mar (Approx. 1:30 hours).

With Chilean Taste (Cooking Class): We begin this cooking class by picking the ingredients in the market. Thanks to a small lexicon that we give to each one with the basic vocabulary in Spanish and how it is pronounced in your language, you purchase what the chef orders, by talking with the “caseros” from the different stores and administering the money we give them. And what are you going to learn? Pisco sour, pebre, ceviche and porotos granados (creamy bean soup) or pastel de choclo (corn pie stew) and a dessert with fruit of the season. Or if you want some other typical dish, or are vegetarian/vegan, we will be glad to teach those options. We want you to have a fantastic experience and bring the best of our cuisine for you. You will consume what you cooked as lunch, since this experience occurs in the morning.

Night at Casa Galos Hotel in a Suite Superior room.

Valparaiso and its topography have made that its inhabitants had to build their homes and buildings in the hills and ravines that surround it. We can also appreciate the picturesque murals that have made Valparaíso one of the world capitals of street art. Artists and groups recognized all over the world have left their works. Paintings that tell stories of those who have passed through the city, subliminal messages, secrets or images of the world or local history. All of them depict the cultural evolution of Valparaiso and help to illuminate its history.
