KMS Travel takes care of all the logistics for you. Depending on the specific location, we will arrange either private transportation or a combination of flights and ground transfers to get you to your chosen fishing destination seamlessly.
Absolutely! Our flyfishing programs are designed to accommodate participants of all skill levels, including beginners. Our expert guides will provide instruction and guidance to ensure that you have a fantastic experience, regardless of your prior fishing experience.
Our programs do not include gear, so don’t forget to bring your favourite equipment, appropriate clothing for various weather conditions, polarized sunglasses, and any personal items you might need.
September to May. The best time for fly-fishing in Chilean Patagonia is during the austral spring (September to November) and austral fall (March to May). These seasons offer the most pleasant weather and excellent fishing conditions.
Absolutely! While our programs are tailored for fishing enthusiasts, non-fishing partners are more than welcome to join. They can enjoy the stunning landscapes, engage in various activities, or simply relax and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Patagonia.
Chilean Patagonia is home to an abundant and diverse range of fish species. Some of the most sought-after fish you can expect to catch during our flyfishing programs include
Salmon Species: Chinook Salmon (King Salmon) and Coho Salmon.

Yes, a valid fishing license is required for all participants. KMS Travel will provide the necessary permits before your trip, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Absolutely! KMS Travel promotes and encourages responsible fishing practices, including catch-and-release, to preserve the delicate ecological balance of the Patagonian waters. While catch-and-release is encouraged, in some locations and depending on the specific program, you may be allowed to keep a limited number of fish for consumption. However, this is subject to local fishing regulations and will be discussed with you before your fishing trip.
Chile follows Chile Standard Time (CLT), which is usually 3 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-3). This time zone provides a seamless experience for travelers from the northern hemisphere, offering a convenient overlap of schedules for communication and planning.
